HI THERE! So I have two possible characters to throw at you! I have Oliver and Rhys, both of which are... difficult lol. Oliver is Fenrir Awakened and, all his past lives, everyone one of them have gone crazy. Oliver is no different, except, he has moments of... "clarity" that he calls his psychotic breaks. He's a war vet that pulled the short end of the stick with having Fenrir Awaken. His life's goal is to never be tied down again; never again will he be controlled. He's a loose canon and will do anything and everyone, regardless of consequences.
I also have Rhys who is a little less crazy. He's a computer tech guru who's basically... a masochist lmao He was abused as a child and thinks violence and anger are ways to... bond with people. Though, his trigger is currently not in New York, he's a lot calmer than he was as a child but he'd still be fun to throw into a club scene!
Unfortunately, my other is Sam and he's only 17 XD And Jax isn't finished yet so those are my only two I can throw at you for the moment lol

ANY DEITY?
YES! Any deity that has ever been written about in any text in real life. That's the keyword. They can't be fictional deities. There needs to be something written about them in text. Not something you found in the pages of D&D, mind you. Staff will be doing research to make sure all deities are accurate. And, just to make sure you understand; they can be japanese, viking, Egyptian, Mayaian, etc. ANY DEITY! [break][break] HOW DOES ONE AWAKEN? It's painful stuff, let me tell you. It's not just waking up one day as a new person. No, it's nearly a week of excruciating pain as your mind opens a floodgate of memories of past lives. And your character is not conscious during any of this. No, they've been locked inside their own mind for this period of time. There are no exceptions to this rule. Most Awakenings happen during a moment of either near death or a moment that happened in a past life. For example, take Hades. The God of the Greek Underworld. Perhaps he's a heart surgeon who accidentally kills his patient instead of bringing him back to life. Perhaps this is the first instance of death he's come face to face with and that triggers an Awakening. Play around with it! If your deity has a truly tragic story, play it out in real life and have them Awaken! It's your story now! [break][break] WHAT AGE CAN YOU AWAKEN? I cannot stress this enough; your character cannot be under the age of ten. Why? Need I remind you just how painful it is? Younger children would not survive the transition. THERE IS AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULE! If your character experiences a moment in their life where they died or very nearly died, it is possible for the Awakening to happen, to save the vessel. Please, if you're going to take this route, speak to a member of staff to help you out! [break][break] does being a god mean following their personality? FUCK NO! cough I mean, no, you don't have to be how the deity had been. "What are you talking about, Sin?" Okay, okay, so we all see Aphrodite as the literal Queen of beauty right? All the ancient texts portray her as such. Here's the kicker, you don't have to have a character who is unnaturally beautiful! They can be butt ass ugly if you want! How about a deity who is the spawn of satan? Don't worry! You can be a priest if you want to! Just because your human vessel houses the memories and past lives of a deity, doesn't mean you become that diety. You're just the fleshy recarnation. It's still your life and you can do whatever you want! Do you still want to be hell bent on world domination? Go for it! Take over New York for all I care! The choice is entirely up to you! [break][break] Gender fluid? Do I want to make a Goddess reincarnate as a man?  You bet I do! Do I want to make Zeus become a nun? HAHA who wouldn't?! Do as you please, my friend! [break][break] do we have any abilities once awakened? So the Gods were terrified that their powers would kill their fleshy vessels so, before the first reincarnation, they softened their abilities to be able to be contained by a mortal. So Zeus might not be able to summon lightening bolts anymore but more often than not, technology seems to break around them or they're constantly shocking people. Eros? The God of Love and Desire? People seem to fall in love with him all the time and he can't help it. Dumb down abilities and make them more modern day understandings of the abilities. If you need further help with this, staff will be more than willing to help you! More often than not, those that are Awakened, are drawn to things that would have made up their abilities. Like Ares, God of War, might become a General or become a professional athlete. You get the idea. [break][break] ABILITIES EXT. On the topic of abilities, this has to be said: shapeshifting is not possible.. Breaking the bones in your body and switching them around into a new form is too much stress on a human body, hence, if a God can shapeshift into an animal of some sort, their Vessel cannot. It could very well kill them. The Gods knew this and made sure that their reincarnated vessels couldn't do as such. However, even if they can't shapeshift, the Vessel will have a magnetism to said animal. Bast for example, will have an affinity for cats.
